Low Cal Recipes I Love

Baked Broccoli:

Cut a stalk of broccoli (50cal) into long pieces and put them in a bowl. Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil (1/2 tbsp per broccoli stalk-20cal) and toss the broccoli to coat evenly with oil. Add your favourite seasoning, I recommend Clubhouse's Roasted Garlic and Peppers, and toss again. Spread the broccoli evenly on a baking sheet (use non-stick spray) and bake for approximately ten minutes at 425 degress. The broccoli is filling and only 70 calories!


Baked Apple Fries:

Cut up an apple into fry shaped pieces (I use a gala apple, 80cal) and spread evenly on a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple pieces and then broil for 7minutes at 425 degrees. You've got an 80 calorie snack to curb your sweet craving.

Egg White Omelette:

-two egg whites (30)
-half a cup broccoli, chopped (15) -sometimes I put in half broccoli, half zucchini
-1 tbsp onion, finely chopped (4)
-Two slices hot genoa salami, chopped (36)
-Sprinkle of low cal low fat shredded cheese (30)
Fry the veggies and meat with a little non-stick spray. Once tender, take everything out of the frying pan. Spray again and put the egg whites in the pan. Cook until they are white on the bottom but still clear on the top. Spread the veggies and meat evenly over the eggs and then sprinkle the cheese on top. Fold the omelette and continue to fry while pressing down on the omelette with a spatula. Total of 115cal and super filling.
